Service terms, warranty conditions, and legal agreements

1. Acceptance of Terms

By engaging Roofing & Guttering Experts Sydney ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") for roofing services, you ("Customer," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Services

We provide professional roofing services including but not limited to:

  • Roof installations, repairs, and restoration
  • Roof replacement and maintenance
  • Guttering and downpipe services
  • Emergency roofing services
  • Roof inspections and assessments

3. Quotes and Pricing

All quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise specified. Prices are subject to change based on:

  • Material costs and availability
  • Site conditions discovered during work
  • Changes to project scope requested by customer
  • Unforeseen structural issues

4. Payment Terms

  • Deposits may be required before work commences
  • Payment is due upon completion unless otherwise arranged
  • Interest may be charged on overdue accounts
  • We accept cash, cheque, and bank transfers

5. Warranty

We provide a 9-year warranty on workmanship, subject to:

  • Normal weather conditions and usage
  • Regular maintenance by qualified professionals
  • No unauthorized modifications
  • Warranty covers defects in workmanship only
  • Materials are covered by manufacturer warranties

6. Customer Responsibilities

The customer agrees to:

  • Provide safe and reasonable access to work areas
  • Obtain necessary permits where required
  • Remove or protect personal property in work areas
  • Provide accurate information about property conditions
  • Make payment according to agreed terms

7. Safety and Access

We are committed to workplace safety. Customers must ensure work areas are accessible and free from hazards. We reserve the right to suspend work if safety conditions are inadequate.

8. Weather and Delays

Work schedules may be affected by weather conditions, material availability, or unforeseen circumstances. We will communicate delays promptly and reschedule work as soon as practical.

9. Insurance and Liability

  • We carry comprehensive public liability and workers compensation insurance
  • Our liability is limited to the value of work performed
  • We are not liable for pre-existing defects or conditions
  • Customers should notify their insurance companies of roofing work

10. Variations and Changes

Changes to the agreed scope of work must be approved in writing and may affect pricing and completion times. Additional work discovered during the project will be quoted separately.

11. Cancellation

Cancellation of work may be subject to charges for materials ordered, work completed, and scheduling disruptions. Written notice is required for all cancellations.

12. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes will first be addressed through direct negotiation. If unresolved, disputes may be referred to mediation or relevant trade associations for resolution.

13. Privacy

Customer information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Australian Privacy Laws. We respect your privacy and protect your personal information.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any legal proceedings will be conducted in NSW courts.

15. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on our website and apply to future work agreements.
